Each Cloud House is created through a process rooted in traditional ceramic techniques and refined through extensive testing in our studio. After forming and slow drying, it passes through multiple rounds of hand-glazing and kiln firing to achieve its soft matte surface, depth of color, and delicate details. Every finished piece is carefully checked before packing.

01 What is Cloud House?
Cloud House is a handcrafted ceramic memorial urn, created as a gentle resting place for a beloved pet’s ashes or keepsakes.
It is designed to feel less like a traditional urn, and more like a small home in the clouds — a quiet, comforting piece that can stay close to you in your everyday space.
02 Will Cloud House fit my pet’s ashes?
Cloud House holds approximately 750 ml / 45 cubic inches.
It is generally suitable for most cats and small to medium-sized pets. With the included drawstring inner pouch, we recommend it for pets under approximately 35–40 lb / 16–18 kg. Without the pouch, it may hold ashes from a pet up to around 45 lb / 20 kg.
For larger pets, Cloud House may be used to hold a meaningful portion of ashes, especially when families choose to share ashes between loved ones or keep a smaller memorial piece close at home.
Actual ashes volume may vary slightly depending on the pet and the cremation process.
03 Is it made by hand?
Yes. Each Cloud House is individually handcrafted and finished in ceramic.
Because of the handmade process, very small variations in shape, glaze, color, or surface texture may appear. These are part of the character of handmade ceramics, not defects.
04 Why does Cloud House take more than four weeks to make?
Each Cloud House is handcrafted after your order is placed.
Unlike ready-made products, every piece goes through a slow ceramic process with multiple rounds of glazing, hand-painting, and kiln firing. These steps help create its matte surface, cloud, moon, tiny door, and paw-print stairs details.
If your order includes a custom ceramic pendant, your pet’s portrait is hand-drawn from your photo, then hand-shaped and kiln-fired by hand. The pendant is made from strengthened fired ceramic, making it more durable and less fragile than ordinary ceramic.
Each piece usually takes approximately 20–30 business days to create before shipping. In some cases, the crafting time may be slightly longer due to ceramic drying times, kiln schedules, additional glazing or firing, custom hand-painted details, or final quality checks.

05 Is the lid removable?
Yes. Cloud House is designed with a removable ceramic cloud lid, so ashes or keepsakes can be placed inside gently.
The lid includes a moisture-resistant sealing ring, helping it close more securely and offering added protection for peaceful indoor display. It is not permanently sealed, so you can still open it when needed.
Each Cloud House also comes with a small drawstring inner pouch to help keep ashes gathered neatly inside. Please note that the pouch itself is not airtight or waterproof.
If you prefer extra protection, you may place the ashes in a sealed bag first, then place the sealed bag inside the drawstring pouch before putting it into Cloud House.
06 Can I place fur, a collar tag, or a keepsake inside?
Yes, as long as the item fits comfortably inside.
Many families choose to keep a lock of fur, a collar tag, a small note, or another tiny keepsake together with the ashes.
07 How can I keep Cloud House safely displayed?
Cloud House is made of ceramic, so we recommend placing it on a stable indoor surface.
Each Cloud House includes four tiny self-adhesive anti-slip rubber dots. You can attach them to the bottom of the piece if needed, helping it grip the surface more gently and reducing direct contact with the table, shelf, or memorial corner.
Please avoid placing Cloud House near the edge of a surface or anywhere it may be easily knocked over.

I didn’t want a traditional urn for Louie because none of them felt like him. He was a funny, stubborn little Frenchie, so the blue Cloud House felt right. The matte finish is beautiful in person, and it looks sweet on our shelf without immediately looking like an urn. I also ordered the memorial video. Seeing the little sign that said “Louie’s Cloud House” was what got me. It made the video feel personal instead of generic. I wish I never needed any of this, but I’m glad I chose something that feels warm and a little more like him.

How Cloud House began.
Cloud House began with a friend I wanted to help.
When she lost her soul dog, grief seemed to settle over every part of her day. For weeks, she could barely eat or sleep. There was nothing I could say that would make the loss smaller.
I wanted to help her find her way back to everyday life, little by little. As a pet owner, I understood that losing them also means losing all the quiet routines that once made home feel whole.
At the time, I was already running a small ceramics studio. I knew the material, the glazes, and the patience the process required. I began wondering whether I could make a resting place gentle enough to live beside every day.
After many trials, the first Cloud House slowly found its shape: a round little home, a soft cloud roof, a moon above the door, and paw prints leading inside.
I wanted it to feel less like an object made for loss, and more like a small home for someone who was still deeply loved.
WHAT CAME AFTER
Then your stories began arriving.
I never expected Cloud House to travel so far. After the first pieces left the studio, pet families began sending me names, photographs, and little stories about the lives they missed.
